    Anyone want my s52/ZF?

    Updated with better description:

    I have decided to sell the engine and transmission from my '97 M3. I owned the M3 that this came out of, and it was totaled a couple of months ago. I bought an e30 to replace it and had planned on swapping in the S52. I've decided that I want to go to a boosted m20 setup instead, so the drive train is going up for sale.

    The following items are included with the sale:

    Engine: S52B32 with 140K miles. It ran beautifully with no noises or issues.

    -The following have ~5k miles on them(have receipts):
    -Water Pump
    -Aluminum thermostat housing
    -Thermostat
    -Brand new fan clutch
    -Cooling hoses
    -Conforti cold air intake
    -Conforti "Shark Injector" tune/programmer
    -Accessories are included (Alternator, Power steering pump, AC Compressor).
    -Complete engine harness (unmodified)
    -DME
    -EWS components can be included if needed

    The ZF 5 speed is still mated to the engine and includes the following (I have receipts for everything):

    - "New" clutch (about 20k miles on it).
    - Flywheel was replaced at the same time as the clutch.
    - Has a UUC short shift kit.

    The drive shaft was replaced due to a slight vibration around the same time. I also replaced the radiator and expansion tank at the same time as the rest of the cooling parts. These parts are available if you'd like to get them too.

    I am asking $2500 for everything. I also have a bunch of parts available from the part out if you need anything else.

    I am looking for a few things for my e30:

    - Black sport seats (prefer vinyl, but leather will work too)
    - Complete 5 speed swap kit.
    - Wheels (Don't have anything in mind, so let me know what you've got)
    - Mtech1 rear spoiler
    - iS front lip
    - iS side skirts
    - Mtech steering wheel

    I'd also be interested in any audio equipment you've got to trade.

                        I'm a ME and I have always had a strong desire to design and build my own boosted setup. I'm going to either move my alternator to the AC location and put a SC there, or go for a turbo.

                        With the money I get for this engine plus the funds I would have spent on the swap, I can build myself a nice boosted setup. It will be much more powerful and I will have a much greater sense of accomplishment going that route.


                        BUT... now I wish I had kept the 5-speed swap kit that I sold to you back in the day. I told myself I wouldn't buy another auto no matter what... but I needed a car and this one is really clean and I just couldn't pass on it for the price. I'm sure I'll be pulling the engine when I go boosted, so the 5 speed swap won't be too bad to do. I just need to source a complete kit...

                            since your an ME... do a ZF 6 speed instead of a crummy 25 year old getrag that has like half a billion miles on it. :D

                              Bump. I've had a couple of interested people, but nothing serious. I'll probably just keep everything if no one wants to pull the trigger.

                              That'd be an interesting project... but one thing that kind of annoys me is the fact that they didn't put a really long 6th gear in them. I want to be able to cruise at 70-75 at barely above idle.
