A salvaged title E30 was my first car. It had minor frame damage but still drove straight. I did all the normal M20 repairs over the three years I owned it but it never gave me any issues other than that... Salvage title to me means that you're getting a fixed/fixable car at a much better price.

No one likes salvage because its impossible to resell for a good price and looks funky when you talk about the car. You know? sounds dirty? I personally don't have a problem with it if its all appropriately documented.

Price check on Vagiclean, aisle five. I repeat: price check on Vagiclean, aisle five. That's Vagiclean. We've got a customer down here with a full-on fallopian fungus. I'm baking a loaf of bread and I think it's sourdough.

You better watch out im russian!
            lol

but i understand what your saying, i was working at a body shop owned by a russian in denver, and he does insurence jobs. Does amazing work! dealers sometimes cant even spot the difference.. but he had a car brought to him while i was there. fixed at another shop clean title.. but that shit oh my.. i dont know how it was fixed. none of the front body lines fit, huge gaps everywhere.. the support was all banged up. It depends who does it is all.
But yes the resale value on them suck trust me.

My white M3 is salvaged but the frame is straight. Mechanically, it's just as good as any clear title car and the interior is MINT. Salvaged cars will always be less than clear title cars and people will always be afraid of them but not all salvaged cars are the same. Afterall, it is still an M3 and when nice E30's become more and more scarce, salvage title cars will be a viable option.

Salvaged title really only matters on cars that are less than 15 years old because you could have water damage and such (like all those Hurricane cars..) For something like an E30, who gives a crap. Seriously, it's only those dinks that are in the Carfax demographic. People who just use there car to go from point A to point B. To strip a car that is 20+ years old because a salvaged or branded title is dumb. Just keep feeding in to the paranoia.

Ya I really need the window because mine is busted out, but I don't think it should be parted out. It can still be saved! But if you do part it out....

Just got a new battery for it and it starts up every time. Drive it around the block and the clutch feels solid as well as very smooth shifting. Something is loose on the passenger side front wheel. Also the idle is a little weird, I'm not familiar with m20's at all but the revs seem to dip down way to low. Then it will automatically rev it back up. Almost like its just bouncing up and down trying to prevent stall. If the car is just sitting at idle it will stay pretty smooth.

Has a decent speaker system but with an ancient deck. (Had a red hot chili peppers cd already in it haha)

As far as the salvage title I agree with the idea of having this as a really nice cruiser. It has a history but it doesn't matter to me. The accident was in 2007 and was in the passenger rear. I'd be a bit more worried with a front end collision because of the engine.

Exhaust sounds slightly louder than stock, but sounds pretty good

I think what I may end up doing with it is keeping it for a bit to fix up the few minor things that it needs then sell it very reasonably priced to anyone that wants a nice late model 325 cruiser
