E30 and reliability don't really go hand in hand...I have had to replace more stuff in 2 years on my E30 than I have ever had to on any car I have owned...and I consider most every part on my car brand new (3 inches of receipts in a folder).

Very true, and good luck. Had a 2004 330ci 6spd zhp...should have never sold it. Be ready to travel to buy it AND pay top dollar. Forget about mint condition as well...just get one that needs a little work or plan to spend 1+ years looking for one. (ie I found one in Utah that was $3k over KBB, and was literally 1 minute late responding to the guy to put a deposit down without even asking him questions. Someone in NY was wiring him the full asking price while we were texting).

                Welcome to the ZHP world.

Maybe I will get one again, if I ever sell my e30. It has to be 325i, four doors, with sport package and leatherette. Sigh...ZHP is the shit but overpriced and hard to find unmolested.

They're worth trying. If you find yourself spending too many hours in the car, they take care of you. Maybe too much.

Nicer appliance than a Honda, anyhow...

E46 Feels like an appliance and you will end up always changing out electrical stuff, but its a nice car.

Unfortunately, yes. Terribly designed IMO. Just rebuilt the timing and installed a rebuilt head since mine cracked. Good as new but I am done fixing things. Gets old.

That's exactly what I DID. Except my e30 is pretty much done, and I am getting the itch of replacing electrical parts for no real reason, so I am missing my e46 :)
