Been cleaning up the engine bay. Went from this...

    To this...

Going to spray it black before the motor goes in. Any tips on which wires I can remove?

All of them is what KeithM would say. Depends how clean of a spray you want to do? Prep is key when doing it right

Finished cleaning up the engine bay and gave it a couple coats of flat black.

And my motor showed up today!

I really have no idea what I'm doing but I'd like to get it running by March 1st. If anyone has done the swap and wants to lend a hand I pay in all you can eat pizza and beer.

Dropped the motor in today. Now it's time to figure out where everything goes.

Prior to dropping the motor I replaced the following: valve cover gasket, oil pan gasket, water pump, thermostat housing, main belt, wired in oil pump nut, pilot bearing, rear main seal, throwout bearing, and the clutch and pressure plate. Hopefully I did everything right.

Might not be a bad idea to do the oil filter housing gasket.

That's on my to-do list, just haven't gotten around to it.
