    Fusible link keeps popping

    Hey gang,

A little back story: Car developed a slight fuel rail leak, so I got that all buttoned up. While the manifold was off, I opted to change out my obd2 wiring harness (Kadunza made mine, and wired up the OBD2 scanner wrong), with a new one they sent me. Everything went back on dandy and the car fired right up.

One the way to the Centennial, the car completely died, and I was able to trace it back to the fusible link. Swapped it out, and everything was kosher...until yesterday.

While driving around the neighborhood after doing a brake job, the fusible link popped yet AGAIN!?! Any idea why the fusible link would keep popping? I never had this issue with the past wiring harness, but I have yet to check some of the connections at the alternator and the starter....

Anywhere else you guys would recommend checking?

Brad I have Luke (E30 Subwoofer Guy) troubleshooting your other harness, if it ends up your new harness has issues let me know and you can throw the old one back on after it's fixed.

Hey Brad, give me a call when you get a few.

I am guessing that the issue is something else (emphasis on guessing) because I think if your engine harness were the issue, it would have burnt up a while ago...like in a spectacular fashion, too

OP - sucks that this is an issue! Do you think it could be harness related?

I had a friend who popped a few. He wired an inline mega size 50amp fuse. For subs and such.

Fixed his issue. But I think he had to much vibration of some issue in trunk area
