I showed up late, did some cookies and had my PS go out, drank lots of good beer, ate, keg standed, and overall had lots of fun. Thanks for the many beers Joe

heh thanks for that shadow of doubt.

      :p

did timing chain guides 10k or so ago. she still sounds tight, just a little lifter rattle on cold start. this summer i'll be removing The Mess Under The Intake amongst other engine bay maintenance stuff. Since she's gently driven, I'd like to make it to 200K. At the current rate, we'll get there in 20 years.

Fair enough. Previous owner screwed mine up. Mine failed emissions at 70,000 down in CA w/ previous owner and when I go it at 130,000 wouldn't pass still and I ended up having a bolt on the timing setup come off and cause the timing chain to skip a tooth and ruin all the valves. Then couldn't reuse the head since someone had machined it so far that we couldnt even clean it off to make it perfectly flat again. I treated mine great, but sounds like your staying ahead of the game, and my previous owners were dumbasses.

I'm only the 2nd owner. All prior maintenance was done by a reputable dealer. The head's never been off the car and it doesn't leak.
