God I hope so. I don't want to continue fixing other things until it is Texas titled, registered, inspected, and plated. And the inspection is holding the other three up.
Well after replacing the oxygen sensors it runs much better. And no intermittent check engine light. Smells like it is idling much leaner. Gonna take it to the station on Monday when I can get a fake tow vehicle to follow up there. Will leave with a green sheet if all goes well.
Have you done any kind of tune up? Plugs, filters? Stuff like that. It seems like your car wants to pass its just not getting a complete burn. Does it have anything like oversized injectors or a chip or anything? My e30 wouldn't pass but I was also running oversize injectors on a stock tune.
Valve cover gaskets and grommets
Spark plugs
Fuel filters
Air filter
Oil and filter change
New water pump
New thermostat
New oxygen sensors
Cleaned idle control valve
I attached the emissions report.
I also have a coolant temperature sensor to install when I test the FPR.
Well the coolant temp sensor is installed. Just need to test the FPR, other than that I am at a loss. It runs and sounds great, has nice throttle response, with a rock steady idle, and not a puff of smoke, fixed all the leaks too...
The tank was empty when I picked it up. But the fuel in the filters smelled awful. I was thinking the octane booster and a tank of super may actually help alot.
Probably. Im in north austin at covert dodge. I'd be willing to give it a go but I cant do anything shady. Jose I have a few spare afms sitting around. Not sure how well they work but I could let one go.
