    944 got new shoes

    BBS RS 013, ET 11, 16x8 front, 16x9 rear.
    Bridgestone RE 11 225/50/16, 245/45/16

Once I find the time I will be installing Koni adjustables, 200lb front springs, 26mm rear torsion bars, and beefier sways. The car will be about 1.2" lower and will probably have more grip than any car I've ever owned.

    p.s. It's not an e30, but I <3 r3v

How do you like the tires? I just picked up a weird combo of RE011 in 205/45 & RE010 215/45.

Car looks great with the wheels btw. Get that suspension done then start saving for the LSx that the car deserves

Gosh, I've always loved 944s. This is a beautiful example.

I have only driven about 20 miles on them so I haven't really pushed them yet. With that said, my buddy had them on his e92 M3 and they were PHENOMENAL. He is a driving instructor and he tells me that they are his favorite street tire of all time.

Yeah, that's a nice looking car. I've developed a recent crush on 944's after reading the thread about how cheap they are. Gotta love relatively cheap, sexy, and under-rated!

                Looking good, Joe.

If you are going to leave the center caps off, a little longer wheel studs would look sharp.

                  Such a classic look.

Have you driven the car in anger yet? What's it like coming from an e30?

                    Thanks!

Unfortunately the studs are too long (might just be the wheel lock, but no way these won't be locked) to accommodate the caps. Once I get the suspension and possibly brakes sorted out I will definitely get longer studs.

I have not really pushed it too hard yet (tires are far from broken in). But from what driving hard driving I have done (with shitty all-season tires) I can tell you the car is incredibly balanced and easy to drive at the limit. Very predictable and smooth.

I can't say much about it compared to an e30 since the last time I drove a stock-ish e30 was about 6 years ago. But the 944 and my somewhat track-prepped S50'd e30 are very very different cars.
