                      to succesfully complete a MAF swap, you need to have a maf´s voltage output the same as a afm´s for the same airflow,

                      how you go about doing this depends, cheapest would be to get a wideband, hook the maf in and have a piggyback to tune, then you can map out the afr´s over time,

                            It will aid in throttle response, thats for sure.

                              You have other options besides Unichip. You can do it with a lot of tuning using an SMT-6 piggy back, costs about $400 for SMT-6 + another $100 or so for the MAF. Split Second also sells a MAF conversion kit for $800-900.
