Hey -you guys going to the Vintage this year. We have a larger group coming from Florida this year

I would love to go. Not sure if I can get my car where it needs to be by then. I will try though! Definitely looking to get to the Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix. I go every year, but this year, BMW is the marquee car again. Always a great time! Middle of July date.
OLD BUMP!! Starting to finally work on my car so I plan on updated this thread as I go. Trying to get my car ready for the Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix on July 14 and 15. If anyone interested in going to that event, let me know. I may have a place for you to crash and will probably throw a pool party the night before (Friday).
Time to break out of my lurker shell. I need some guidance on installing the side skirts on a coupe. My first question is how did you guys figure out where to drill into the rocker panels without using a template?
Is this just a bravery test? Did you just make your own template?

My second question is about attaching the end of the side skirts to the fender lip. Do you use just use speed nuts and screws? I'm not really understanding how the clamps (51711934949) are supposed to fit in.

You can search earlier in this thread. There is very detailed info and pics about modifying the rear end caps for mtech1
You're absolutely right. It looks like the discussion starts around post #237. I've gone through this whole thing, but I guess I was too focused on the side-skirt installation problems I was having to notice the rear-bumper end-caps discussion. Thanks.
Great organization! I am working on my car again as well. Just sent wheels out for powdercoat, but still have more Mtech installing to do. Also, I still didn't paint the car yet...
