Just remember that just because they were manufactured then, doesn't mean they were fitted then! They could have sit on a shelf in a warehouse for a few years prior to being fitted to your car.
Where should I order all my parts from what website is the best in your opinion you all know more than me, I want the best longevity don't care for performance
I use FCPEuro for things like struts, brakes, plugs, belts, etc as it's all backed by a lifetime warranty through them. Blunt is great as well but obviously doesn't offer that warranty. Avoid Turner, ECS, Pelican or anything else owned by ECS.
Parts starting to come in, I will update my build in less than a week :)
Engine bay sprayed with a mix of dish soap and hot water and scrubbed with a toothbrush.
Use kitchen sink soap as it's a degreaser.
First try was car wash soap but that didn't help as it doesn't contain degreasers.
Unexpected fuel hoses repair last night, was planning on weekend as I'm still slowly throwing parts in the trunk from Blunt. Thank you for recommending them I'm getting parts the next day after I order them and just keep getting deliveries instead of one giant lump 2 weeks later .
Yeah I was lucky, the car was actually driving still but I felt something not right, like 2 spark plugs we're pulled So I immediately shut the car and looked.
Another member mentioned a engine fire couple days ago and I have a fire extinguisher mounted since than :)

Any idea how your line broke? This isn't something I thought of as a possible faliure point. Says the guy who's brake caliper fell off at 45 mph.

I actually love them. Sense of accomplishment since I dispise the soul sucking new cars and the way the drive
My sense of accomplishment comes when I can diagnose and foresee a problem and then plan accordingly with a jack, jackstands and correct parts vs rolling my car up on a curb to get under it and then making due with parts from inside of a gas station. But don't get me wrong, I have definitely been there. I've made my old m10 work with a ghetto makeshift cord for an alt belt just to get to the nearest vatozone.
Also the reason why I have a jackstand and pretty full tool set in my trunk
