spool piece for intake air temp sensor (megasquirt)?

Basic question, but I couldn't find anything on it: When I delete the afm for conversion to megasquirt, what do people use for a spool piece to replace the afm and mount the bung for the IAT sensor? I'd like to retain the stock air filter box as is. Summary: same inlet and outlet OD as the afm, and same length. Not going to turbo anytime soon, so need a nice solution for near stock N/A setup.
    Thanks - Tim

You can just leave the AFM in.

just thread it into the airbox and use a 2.5" pipe to connect the airbox to the intake boot. use an Cold Air adapter for an AFM but mount it to the airbox instead of an AFM. I use a 3"-2.5" silicone reducer.

Wait, you want to leave the AFM in? Is that to retain a stock look? Why not just replace it with a pipe? Kinda something similar to what I did, minus the BOV bit.
