    Electrics/Transmission Functionality:

Note: I don't expect this car to sell on r3v, but I wanted to make sure I put it up! It will be listed on Autotrader and BMWCCA for the next few weeks. If no deal is made, I will submit to BaT!

Up for Sale is a 56,800 kilometer (35,300 mile) Euro Spec BMW E30 325i licensed for the Japanese Market. This car was Imported to Florida by United Imports LLC of Tampa. I Purchased this car in November of 2016 and have cherished every minute of my ownership. I will be moving to the big city later this year and can only take one car with me, which will be my M235i.

I bought this car primarily for its extremely low mileage, Granitsilber paint, sunroof delete, and its condition which included a flawless interior and absolutely no rust. The car comes with the original service booklets and a variety of BMW booklets in Japanese. I have extensively documented every new part purchased for this car and all receipts from the engine rebuild and transmission swap. Included with the car is all the documentation, two full stainless exhaust systems (one loud and one quiet), two sets of wheels and tires with very low miles (Summer and Winter) which include the original optioned 14’’ BMW OEM Basket weaves and a bunch of spare/original parts (see below). All of the original Japanese decals, including an inspection sticker and the “BMW Japan Corp. Wholly Owned Subsidiary of BMW AG Munich, W. Germany” delivery tag, remain intact along with the BMW Japanese Market Model Authorization engine bay tag.

    Exterior:
Save for the summer wheels, everything on the exterior is original, from the glass to the paint. The paint is in good condition, but could use a cut-and-buff, as it appears to have been parked under a pine tree for some of its life. There are two small dings on the body, see pictures. All trim pieces are original, including the headlights and bumpers. Overall presentation is very good.

    Interior:
Like the outside, everything is original with the exception of the head unit. The previous owner installed a late-90’s style aftermarket radio which I replaced with a new Bluetooth compatible unit. The sound system was also upgraded with co-axial Speakers and a powered subwoofer. There are no tears in the cloth seats or the headliner, door cards, dash, and other trim pieces are immaculate. Note that part of the vinyl near the rear mirror/windshield trim has peeled. Trunk Toolkit is complete and OEM all weather mats are included.

    Mechanical:
As you will see below, every wear item has been replaced or updated, including an extensive engine rebuild. The Engine rebuild consisted of a complete head, ignition, fuel system, and timing system rebuild, all of which was completed by RRT in Sterling, Virginia. The Transmission swap was completed by Zimmerman Automotive of Gaithersburg, MD which included a new BMW Flywheel, new Sachs Clutch kit, new Master and Slave Cylinders, and all new shifter components including a Garagistic DSSR and Z3 short shifter. All the E30 “must have” upgrades have been completed, such as the Bilstein Sport Strut and H&R Sport spring kit, the addition of a rebuilt 4.10 LSD, and control arm refresh.

    Other Notes:
Being a Euro-Spec car, the original gauges are in Kilometers/Hour. Thanks to Japan’s strict emissions and maintenance laws, the Air Conditioning system was converted to R134A.

Bravo. Fantastic car, even better ad. Easily one of the best FS ads I've seen on r3v, or anywhere for that matter.

    GWLS!

Thank you! I actually garage it at that house - my apartment only allows me one spot :/

County Transmission in Vienna did the rebuild/clean; they do some amazing stuff, very fair prices and remarkably fast turn around. Awesome staff to boot!

Really, really amazing job. As someone who follows e30 sales closely. I would have just gone straight to BAT. You have plenty of information and a well thought out ad and presentation. A really cool story as well. IMHO, seeing some pretty minty low mile e30 ix and Italian (320is) m3 going for around mid teens 16-17K. I kinda see this a near or at that level. I think you will like the BAT experience. With all of this e30 content you have, I would say go for it. I don't think the special e30's will really get collector attention for about another 8-10 years. At least nice ones are bringing back some bucks now. Great job!

I've had quite a few PMs suggesting I go straight to BaT; would make for a good show in the BaT thread! However I've also received a couple PMs offering close to my asking, so it's a gamble. It seems mileage is the most important factor in the e30 market...
