    has anyone put and m50 in a 318is?

    I wanna know how if its any good or not

            Yes it will fit in a E30 but you have to use the oil pan off a 1997-2000 South African Land Rover Defender 2.8.

                this swap has been done literally thousands of times. it depends on your definition of 'good,' because there are pros and cons to everything.

                personally, i like the m42. with the m50 you're only going 2.5l and gaining considerable weight for not much power; stock for stock.

                but seriously, holy shit. how have you been on here for over a year and never come across an m50 swap?

                            No just the R380 transmission off the TD5 Disovery and thats only if you want to do a AWD 24v E30.
