I think the biggest thing I have done is my new stereo system. To tell you the truth I haven't really cared about the sound of my system since my high school days. What prompted this was a subscription to RDIO and fell in love with music again. My rear speakers were original premiums and i have to say they were pretty damn good, the fronts were garbage infinity speakers that had the cone completely detach from the rubber surround. I really wanted to do something different and since I had a rear strut bar a luke box wouldnt work. My main goal was to have a great sounding system that looked as stock as possible, no neon lights or any crazy stuff.
I think I might go 5 channel amp next. I am running my interior speakers of my Nakamichi CD400.
My friend that did this install has all the measurements from my car and said he can make custom boxes that are carpeted and made to your subs specs for about $240. If this interests you just hit me up and we can work it out. I think it would be too hard to ship so I think if you are local to L.A. we can make it work. He does great work as you can see and is very professional and works fast.
Amp-Rockford Fosgate Prime R500-1 500-Watt Mono Amplifier

Front Speakers-Alpine 5.25 type R spr-50c

Rear speakers-Alpine SPS-510 5.25"

Sub-SWR-10D2 - Alpine 10" Dual 2-Ohm Type-R Series Subwoofer

And on to the install. Like I said I wanted to do something different and being that I live in LA and have AAA you will see why it wasnt a big deal going the route I did.
Hard to tell but got the new tweeters to fit in the original location.

Aluminum baffle to let the air pass from the sub.

And it all looks stock when closed.

It sounds great and the only thing that rattles is my license plate, double sided tape will fix that. Amp is a little underpowered but I am not trying to get crazy bass, im not a youngin anymore and my ears are already bad from my high school system days.
