Frank88iX's 1st 325ix build. (Not audiquattrot)

Picked this up today. 1988 325ix 5-speed Diamondschwartz on silver sport w/ 159k miles. 2 owner car, originally Oregon car, no rust, was repainted before, but shines nice.

Needs a new transfer case, pass axle, power steering pump and misc interior stuff, but runs amazing.

Has the original Ix mudflaps, 2 sets of basket weaves w studded winter tires, along w a benzi box (pull out aftermarket radio from the 80s) which I can hopefully salvage.

This will be my 4th E30 owned, 3rd iX......stay tuned :)

Nice pick up. You were just saying the other day you didn't know when you would retire your IX for winter driving. So I see you found the solution to your problem. But when you make this one as nice as your other IX you will be back in the same boat again. I look forward to reading this cars build thread. It makes me think maybe I should do a build thread on my E30.

Car came with konis, all rear subframe bushings installed as well as front control arm bushings, what appears to be an eBay cat back Remus like muffler, floor mats that come up the dead pedal section.

Cleaned up the spare set of basket weaves....if anyone is interested in either set of Ix weaves let me know. Same with the studded tires.

Has a plug hanging out the grill too ;)

I'm still unsure what it is I'm planning to do with the car. I fixed the power steering and axle issue today, cleaned up real good. I did notice a small coolant leak, which I plan on fixing this week. I might put her up for sale sooner than I expected since I was thinking today about how ridiculous it is to have two of the same car lol. My other Ix needs some work, so I might resell this one in the open market/possibly ebay if anyone is interested once I address a couple more things

The car drives smoother and the suspension is soooo much tighter than my silver Ix. It would be hard to let it go.The ironic part of it all is that after driving this DS ix, it made me realize how much more suspension work I need to address on my other one.
