What are the chances that my car is totalled?

Friend let me borrow his truck so I let him borrow my E30. His story is that he wasnt driving fast , but locked up the wheels approaching a curve. My 84 doesnt have ABS. Long story short, he crashed into the curb and then hit a phone box. I opened the front door to grab something and the door didnt rub against the fender

Saw the car last night and it was raining so I didnt take any pics, but heres a summary of the damage:
-the front wheels are pushed into the fenders. (The mint fenders I JUST installed )
-Front valence was bent in and my front lip got knocked off
-E34 M50 oil pan is destroyed, as well as the pickup (according to him)
-Front wheels dont look bent, still look round

Im hoping its just oil pan/ pickup and control arms, assuming he really wast going that fast, but the damage is done, so vultures be gentle, Im still raw

Totaled in the eyes of insurance? Absolutely. Totaled to an e30 guy? Post pics and I'll tell you. Might need to go on a frame rack to be right.

      To insurance, yes.
To r3v, we need to see pictures to tell.

Lets just say I wasnt too excited to take pics after driving 300 miles to find my broken car... Im not worried about insurance, I know its totalled in their eyes. Its heading to a shop who will put it on a lift, but thats not happening until Wednesday

Looks plenty fixable from the pics, though obviously you'll need to get it in the air to know the full extent of the injury.

Need more pics. Hopefully the suspension components took the brunt of the hit, and your frame is fine. If that's the case, shouldn't be too hard to fix.

And of course, this is why I don't lend out cars.

Your friend better be paying for it. You break it, you buy it.

Anyways, this damage is almost identical to the damage my last vert suffered. Oil pan was boned, airdam was pushed in, wheels were pushed in and my fenders got bent. I had rear end damage out the wazoo too, but that doesn't apply here.

I would assume the suspension took the hit for the most part if he curbed it, and I don't think a phone box would cause too much damage either. The radiator core support miiiight be bent, but with how your front end looks, probably not too badly. When the time comes, a lift will be your only answer. Good luck.

No idea until we get it in the air.

Yup, it will be a long 48 hours until the shop gets it in the air...

Yea I dont know if I'll get pics of it in the air since I wont be at the shop, but Im hoping its control arms and other replaceable stuff, but again for now its hard to say.

He lent me his truck to go get an engine and I trust him, but otherwise I dont either.

                            I know two things.

                            1) This makes me really sad and I'm sorry to see it. :(

                            2) Your friend was not going slowly.
