If I hadn't picked up my e30 m3 in December I would have bought this by now. I have wanted this car since it was in Cali. When I finally convinced the owner to sell it to me for a good price I got a call from a guy with a e46 5 speed touring and I bought that instead. I kinda regret not buying this car then.

Funny you mention E46s.. I'm looking at a very sweet low mile M3 right now. totally unplanned purchase of course.

dude. you and me both. I assume it's because the car's in Chicago. damn thing's sitting in a climate controlled garage...

the delay is driving me nuts. I want to finish my Calypso MT1 project and move on the my M62/6speed :-) That's why I'm selling. the delay is making me second guess the sale. over and over again :-)

I get that bro. An E30 M3 resto ala xworks is definitely on my radar too. My problem of course is that I love everyone of these cars. I just don't have enough time, space and discretionary funds to work so many projects at once.

Once again, stating the obvious maybe - this is probably the only unrestored 771 anyone will find at this price anytime soon. If anyone thinks different let me know. If I really do sell this bitch I'm gonna want another one.

multiple PMs received thanks guys. crafting responses including a detailed estimate of the resto work needed. as mentioned in the OP I've already secured many of the needed parts including Erik's Evo cloth, crack free replacement dash and a brand new front valance shipped from Germany.

also to be clear I am really on the fence about selling. not yanking anyone's chain though - this is a completely legit for sale attempt.
