    Lol. Great.

A dash swap is 2 hours. A tranny repair? Well I'll let you tell me.

    Kinda sounds silly. Right?
For the sake of the OP, stop offering him "if's" or trade off's. It seems like he just wants a m-tech convertible for a reasonable price. His stipulation is no cracked dash which is a reasonable one as working on an interior can be much more difficult than you just are making it out to be. Also not everyone has small hands, I admire the man for not budging on his requirements. I'm sure he didn't post here for your opinion on which one is right for him, he's just fishing for a car, and you guys are just sitting next to him saying you're not going to catch anything...

"Necessity never made a good bargain"

He'll find something he can work with without a cracked dash, it may take longer, but you're not helping.

Just to restore some hope here, i've seen quite a few being sold for 7k range over the last few years, all you'll need is patience and a watchful eye.

Yeah, it was a Canadian version. DS on black.
Not much different other than it did not have an airbag from the factory, heated seats were standard, a metric cluster, and daytime running lights.
It was a 5-speed from the factory though.

It's now in Texas with a R3V member.

This is the M-Tech you need to wait for. Just save up some more $. Cause this one is worth more than $8k.

I'v just purchased the sister car, and will be returning it to stock. These are super rare, it's time for them to be appreciated.
