Thought I'd update you guys. So I bought this shell. I own a few car businesses/body shops around Nashville. One of my warehouses was coincidentally right behind Treehouse racing - Bimmersusa where the shell was. Scot, who is "scmgoblue" on these forums was the person I dealt with and he seemed like a very pleasant person. Being that we are fellow/neighbor car businesses in the Nashville community, I assumed I would be treated respectfully in this dealing.
It looked like Scot had been advertising this shell for 4 or more years and hadn't sold it yet. I will say, there was much about the condition of the shell that an honest and ethical seller probably should have disclosed up front (I bring this up only because of what followed). As an honest businessman, I would never feel comfortable advertising something with such obvious and serious condition issues where I knew people from out of town would be looking and would probably be upset about if they were blindsided. When I went to see it, the shell was behind a curtain and almost impossible to walk around since it was buried in random parts and parts cars. Seeing the condition and budgeting my build, I made an offer to Scot. It was countered, but I made it very clear that I had estimated my build and my offer price was all I was willing to pay to try to fit the project into a budget. After a while, Scot contacted me to let me know I could have it at my offer price and I immediately dropped off a check.
Unfortunately, the rear bumper was mysteriously missing. Scot said he would get with Jon (Jon Siccardi) and be in touch. He never was in touch. I emailed Scot several times thereafter, and was ignored. Since Scot wasn't responding to my emails anymore, I then pm'd Scot here on 7/29/14
"Hey Scot,
This is Tony. It's been over a month since we last spoke and you never got back to me. I sent you two emails several weeks ago and did not hear anything back from you. We need to come to a resolution on the rear bumper for the M3. Please call me as soon as possible so we can discuss. If it is Jon that needs to address this, have him call me. I can always be reached on my cell phone, xxx-xxx-xxxx.
Thanks,
Tony"
Scot responded:
"Hey Tony, it is Jon you need to discuss this with as it was his shell and he got the money. I just posted the for sale thread for him. I forwarded your last email to him and told him to contact you. I will ask him again to get with you. Let me know if you do not hear from him in the next few days. Thanks"
Having not heard from Jon or Scot, on 8/13/14 I pm'd Scot again:
"Hey Scot,
Still haven't heard from Jon. Honestly, I do not have the patience to sit around and wait for someone who has no respect to take a minute to try to rectify a situation that they are 100% in the wrong. Ignoring me while being in the wrong is not only one of the rudest and most disrespectful forms of behavior, it also leaves me to assume the worst about character and intentions."
It's been a little over a week since I sent that and of course no response .... I have never met nor spoken with Jon Siccardi. I do not know Scot's relationship with Jon, and/or his involvement with this sale. Based on these interactions, I am left to form negative opinions and views of Jon Siccardi ( mpowerjon ), Treehouse Racing, BimmersUSA, and Scot. (btw, their shop closed down and the phone number is disconnected).
Jon Siccardi and company should be ashamed. Rather than stand up and try to address the issue, they are choosing to hide and ignore the situation. In that case, I encourage you all to form your own opinions, and, hopefully, not support businesses who engage in deceitful, unethical or unscrupulous business practices.Comment

Man tha sucks! I was hoping to hear that the shell is in it's way to a glorified M3. It sucks that it happens to honest people. I hope everything works out and you are right, if it would have been a out of town buyer. It would have been a messed up situation.

I was really looking into this shell earlier this year, when I was starting my project. Really unfortunate to have these kind of sellers on the forum. I hope you get what you were promised!Comment
-
All too common.. sorry to hear.
So how is Treehouse racing associated? They listed it or were the seller of the shell?Comment

Why does it seem like tree house racing is such a shitty company? I've heard nothing but customer service hoar stories glad I haven't gotten stuff from them.Comment
