Selling my '88 325iX coupe, roughly 225k. Diamontschwartz metallic. I know that's not spelled right. If not for damning body rot, this would still be daily driven.
The rear spring perches have rusted through the frame, and I was told $3000 would be a rough estimate of the rebuild cost. The battery box and rear fender wells are in similar condition.
You could do better if you already have a shell to cut metal out of, that was a fabrication price.
If you have a clean shell, this has almost everything you need to complete it. I'll try to be as thorough as possible.
Goods
-Runs, AWD functions 100%, has standard iX drive train "looseness".
-Mostly minty interior. Door cards dirty but complete, otherwise only bad part is the drivers seat. Broken and tearing.
-Alpina replica wheels with conti pro contact dw's. Minty, one season.
-Mtech wheel in great condition.
-timing belt and water pump done within last 20k
-one owner dealer maintained until 200k!
-comes with NIB clutch
-comes with OEM weaves (1/4 million on them but fair condition)
The Bad
-Battery NG
-Ignition switch bad, will not engage " off".
-ABS relay NG
-Cruise control rigged. Clutch will not disengage, needs new switch.
-Radio backlight NG
-Odometer may be bad.
-drivers seat broken (have not investigated, problem with seat back bracket), has tears.
-leaking p/s fluid
-coolant hoses probably done for
-hood insulation deteriorated
-Engine oil cleanliness light permanently active
-MFC backlight dead
-aforementioned body rot
