Alright, I was selling for $5,750 with the rocker uninstalled to give a member a deal who could likely fix it themselves. I am going to fix it myself and therefore I still feel the car is worth every penny of $9000.

What kind of automotive background do you have to fix this rocker yourself? Just curious.

depending on which rocker it is you might have to remove the head since i remember you arent really able to remove the whole rocker shaft while its in the engine bay.. right kyle?

any rocker arm is easier to replace if you remove the head. I think you can get to a few while leaving it in, but its only like 20 more bolts to take out, and while you are in there you can clean up the head and put a new head gasket in there and all that good stuff. being that this car used to be maintained very well and had a recent build, he might be able to get away with leaving the head in the car and replacing the rocker...

The original poster bought it from a well known member here. It was one of the nicest E30's out there. The kid ran it downhill and bitched about it non-stop. Now he is trying to resell it.

Hey, correction I am not fixing it myself, I am having it fixed. A guy named Bernardo Payet who I met knows these cars inside and out. He has an e30 and e36 both with s50b30 :) He is a good guy and hopefully he wont charge me an arm and a leg. One mechanic who I had quote the job said it can be replaced without pulling the head and only pulling the radiator....

The car itself is still as clean as it ever was. Besides the rocker arm it is basically "the cleanest e30 I have seen in years!" as stated by my mechanics master tech, John.

Btw, It hasnt been ran down hill and I was trying to flip it from the beginning. Thus the reason for all the initial contraversy. I realize you yourself are a reputable member here, but honestly, my e30 looks a lot nicer/cleaner than your own. I do like the trailor non the less :ohsnap:

very funny, but why the apology? Everyone is under the assumption the vehicle is destroyed or has been handed to the devil or something. Anyone local needs to view it in person and back me up. I believe it is like 8,000 vs. 1....

Im just trying to sell a car, one I am sure you envy. It is a very nice car and people as yourself has done nothing to help it get to an owner who respects it as you would yourself. Exactly, I usually see for sale thread with people commenting on how nice the car is and wishes of good luck for a sale. I have had nothing but a bad stroke of luck owning the stroker :) now I have purchased the car I should have in the beginning. I guess I do not "fit in" with the e30 guys, and that is fine, once the car has moved to a deserving owner, Im gone...

EDIT: I know it is, its how everyone here knows who he is!
