      Okay
      1. This is not a joke. Do you seriously think I put all of this information in my ad (specified the part number, compatibility info, NLA status, original BMW part) and put a link to the price of the new genuine part on ClassicEuroParts, only to present it as a joke?
      2. Those $50-140 units you're referring to are usually aftermarket pieces, which are going to be of shoddier quality than the original BMW piece. A lot of them will need to be painted to match the wheel. Even ClassicEuroParts has their own aftermarket piece for sale at the price point you're referring to. If they're the original BMW parts at that price point, they're very likely in beat up condition based on what I've seen. The ones I am selling are original BMW parts in reasonably good condition.

The prices I quoted were good used condition genuine BMW with no broken tabs. Just using eBay data, in April/May, four nice used genuine BMW caps sold ranging from $130-$145. There have been a bunch of people posting silly prices lately as a joke to mock the current market, so I genuinely didn't know if this was one of those ads or not.

It's a free market and you can ask whatever prices you want, I was just trying to be helpful by offering info on what they actually sell for. GLWS.

Ok, fair enough. Link me these eBay ads you're looking at so I can further evaluate.

Okay, so here are the ads I've been linked to:

In the first ad, the cap being pictured is a bit dirty. In the later three ads, the caps are painted an aftermarket color. Based on this, I will adjust my price to $150 per cap but I will remain firm on the price.

those are nice. fwiw new unpainted and unbadged repros are going for $140ea at turner and ecs. a known good original used cap with correct paint at $150 sounds like a good deal to me.
