I've got an S50 that would be a great donor for a swap. Includes S50 with all accesories, wiring harness and ECU. Mileage was 125k when pulled. Car ran and yard drove excellent, and compression test numbers are solid and consistent (I have specific #'s available!)

I also have a ZF complete with flywheel/clutch, pedals, linkages, driveshaft, etc.

Asking $2600 for the S50 w/ harness/ECU, or $3000 with ZF and whatever accesories the buyer needs!

doesnt really compare. the ls1 is a very ubiquitous domestic motor and came in a shit ton of domestic vehicles. it doesnt matter if you add a larger tb on that engine and instantly gain 20whp. or cough on it and instantly gain 40whp. it doesnt really fit in an e30 that well either, so i dont know why you're bringing it up.

Takes ALOT more work and $$ to retrofit a LS1 into an E30 than it does an S50 and a LS1 can almost be overkill for those looking to build a perfomance DD.

I've found LS1 engines with transmission for $2500 locally but when I did the math for the cost of the conversion it wasn't in my price range.
