If it is designed well I am in. It's next on my list but I don't want to fork out for a mason bar.

Stay tuned, this has been on my mind since I bought my first one for the e30. It was poorly made and I am a perfectionist, it took a bit of modding to get it to fit the car. I just want to make something that I can offer the e30 crowd that is MADE to fit. And can be had at a price that is honest.

That is what I am searching for right now. I don't have a bender, so I have been searching for one that will be able to handle the abuse of bending steel. I looked at the 159 HF one and I don't really know how well it will make the angles needed to match up.

I have everything needed to produce these but the bender. I was thinking about making my own dies and using my SUPER large vise to get the angles of the piping. Not kidding on how big this vise is...I clamped down my med case LSD to break bolts loose on the output shafts when they were cut and removed from the drive train.

So my idea is right now to go with 1" 1/4(same size as my ebay alum one) tubing with plate steel bent to form around the towers. Anyone know of a steel grade that is best for making such things?

No one makes this car anymore. The government won't allow them, normal people won't buy them. So it's up to us: the freaks, the weirdos, the informed. To buy them, to appreciate them, and most importantly, to drive them.

I knew this would come up when I first posted it. My buddy that works at BMW owns an iX. So I am hoping that he will let me mock up one, so I can produce a batch.

How about one that clears my subwoofer boxes?

I have shipped over 200 E30 boxes, even if it only fit the 10" box, that alone is a good "interest base", right?

You could design your box to be notched for the rear brace. I was thinking about doing it to mine...but I just strapped the box the the brace with a bungie cord haha xD I track every other weekend, so it is pointless for a form fit in my life. I am planning on making my own box to be notched in my car I am building.

I love bass to add color to my music =)

Nope, cannot. The woofer clears that back of the box by about 1/4", my shit is tight, yo.

What I am saying is either buy on of mine or copy it, then make a custom brace that fits.

I have a request that the bar's center strut opening is big enough for camber plates. I had to modify my eibach bar

First off a Sparco bar is 129+shipping. I am making mine to have clearance for 24v swaps like der affe was talking about on page one. Also as I stated before these are not the final prices. I have not even ordered the tubing and bent up the bases. As I stated before these will be perfect fit braces with no clearance issues.

In a month or so I will show one installed in my M50 swap and the m20 vert stroker.

Well my sparco bar was just over $150 after shipping, besides the fact I've been trying to get one off and on for a few years now and they were almost never in stock. I did finally manage to snag one last month but they are back on backorder now. So if someone could produce a comparable bar, for a competitive price and manage to keep them in stock ready to ship, then they could likely do pretty well.

OP- Good idea if you have the resources to make it happen then maybe I'll be ordering my next strut bar from you.

His first post says ball park of 150-180 for fronts, not $120. I agree, the IE bar is the same as a sparco and is cheap.
