MEPEH spent a lot of time helping me pick the perfect set of injectors for my needs, and of course did a great job servicing them before shipping them out, including sending pictures and videos of them being tested.

Thanks for your great customer service and fair prices!

      Hi Mepeh,
I have a E30 325i convertible, stock M20B25. Looking to service in the injectors. I'd like to go with something that has a more modern spray pattern. I may add a performance chip in the future.

I vaugely remember reading a thread a while back about using Mustang injectors... Whats's your recommendation?

      Thanks

We've had issues in the past with those Ford injectors. Reliability sucks and they are missing the top groove to use the metal retaining clip back in place.

M50 injectors is what people normally use. They are an older design than the Ford ones, but are able to take more fuel pressure with a higher flow rate. And are an upgraded design vs your stock M20 injectors.

Are there any advantages to upgrading injectors on an m30 3.5L ('88)? Without changing the ecu tune

I think one of mine may be leaking, I'm getting poor gas mileage and some hard starts when hot because fuel pressure is bleeding off.

If not I'll just send my set over to you for testing/cleaning

I tried searching the thread about injector options for stock eta engines.

                Hoping you can help clarify:

M50 injectors are a bad idea for ETA?

Could I do a mod with the fuel injectors to make it a good idea?

My engine has 212k miles and I'm worried the injectors have never received service. But the car runs great (or so I think)

                Your help is greatly appreciated,

                Thanks!

Eta uses low impedance injectors, whereas i's and other modern vehicles use high impedance injectors. They're not really switchable. You might be able to replace the entire fuel system and ECU to use high impedance, but it isn't worth it. Just get rebuilt ETA injectors and call it a day!

Yep, bad idea IMO. You need to rebuild yours.
Though i did hear people using high impedance injectors on low imp setups. But i really can't confirm that.

Sorry for the late reply here. I can service your set and replace the faulty injectors if any.
Not sure if there's an upgrade option for your engine if you want to keep it stock.

Hey I'm wondering in your experience do you mainly notice that injectors with 250,000+ miles are clogged?
have you seen injectors that spray very nice at at that high of a mileage?

That's a lot of miles, but mileage is not always an indication of faulty injectors.
I serviced my mercedes with 250k miles last month and injectors looked and worked like new.
It's a lot about the maintenance that engine had through the years and the quality of the gas used.
Orings may be dry though at that mileage, that's what i experienced a lot.
A top oring leak would be easy to sport since it leaks fuel if it goes bad, but lower orings go out first (closer to the hot head) and they just leak air, which is hard to diagnose usually.

I mention this pretty often, but at my price of the service, you get a very cheap peace of mind.
