Yep - only the relay is in a different location. You unplug your stock relay, and plug this in. Easy as can be.

almost 100% sure this will work for e34 cars. can anyone confirm?

It's 100% plug and play on e30 e28, e24 and e32' - you just replace yoru stock relay with this. Unplug, plug in. (e34s are a different animal.)
