Are these different from the ones that used to be sold on here (r&m I believe), and are available on eBay? I've seen speculation regarding those, but never any first hand long term experience. Have you run these yet? Had good luck with fitment and quality?

These are the RMR cam gears. Much better quality than the eBay gears.

          Thanks,

Good to know. I have an eBay gear that I have yet to install. I think the peace of mind from buying one of yours is worth it. You have a pm coming.

Looking at the pictures, I can see that the hardware is clearly different. Your units look to have much higher quality hardware than the eBay gears, which is a weak point on the cheap gears, from what I have read.

I will gladly pay for the peace of mind that comes with buying from a reputable seller in the e30 community VS some unknown Ebay seller in China.

              Payment sent!

did they ever fix the issue with the teeth on the gear being slightly too large?

I was skeptical of the belt to gear fitment, but put one on my car anyways. Ran it for about a year, then after my car was totaled in an accident, it went on an endurance race car and has done several 12+hr races with zero issue.

You really should get some dyno time and play with the settings to move the power curve where you want.

This is a good deal. Back when I bought mine, there was tax and shipping added to the $90.

These gears fit the timing belt better than any other aftermarket cam gear we've seen.

And for some added safety I'd add a flat washer and lock washer under all of the socket head cap screws. I hate seeing the puny little edges of those socket heads bearing all of the load.
