Sorry, no additional discounts. There's already a discount if you take a pair.

A case could be an option. But the female terminals need to be pushed through the switch hole to ease the installation. Also a special casing would add quite a bit to the cost. Between this and the niceness of a casing we decided for more practical and cheaper option.

Only available space could be an issue. We haven't tested it yet.

We haven't tested it yet with the sunroof. So I can not say if it works or not.

Lot of thoughts. Working on something. That's all I'll say for now.

How about a simple heat shrink wrap?

Would it be possible to apply some protective varnish or some kind of epoxy on the circuit board? I worry the switch location is prone to having liquids drip there and that can easily short circuit the naked board.

So, with the stock window switch and this unit, I can't imagine it being easy to lower the window a 1/4" of an inch. I've had an after market units just like this in my car (not an e30- but an e28) and it was soooooooo annoying that I ripped them out.

BTW - You can buy them for $27 - and a bit of wiring. So Less then $60 out the door. Here: http://www.sears.com/autoloc-one-tou...g&gclsrc=aw.ds

Your video was really unclear of a situation where I want to crack my window 1/4" of an inch. Or if I have to fight it each and every time.

I know on modern BMW's (later then say 2000?) you get switches that have two steps to them. How is this better then what already being offered?

1/4" - well that's tough to master even without any modules, just the stock switch.
While making the video in the OP my son was also playing with the switch... this is what happened:

So to answer your question, it can be done, maybe not the first time you try, but when you get used to it you can do it.

Our design is specially made for E30 cars. It is clean, simple and totally P&P. If you like a bunch of black boxes lying around your car and spaghetto-technics to connect them, that is your choice.
Can't really compare a generic module with a custom made module.

I see there is a lot of worry about this issue.
We don't think it is necessary, but we will look into it and see what can be done.
