my complaint is still awaiting response which I know is not going to happen, and with no money being in the account I don't expect a refund. Lets get the group call to the Columbia Police dept. organized so we can at least get justice. Mr 325 being an administrator/site owner tell me Chris is banned, and please ban infamous also.

I was linked to this thread as it seems I am the only person to ever successfully make a deal with Chris. I traded my e30 for his e28, and purchased the "famous" hayashi's so many others have seemed to have done.

I can't believe this is all happening. I met him in person, he had me over for lunch and such when we struck our deal... He's a great guy. It's a shame this is all happening. :(

No, I've done deals with him too.

If you havent already, check your hoses and belts. When I bought my E30 back from him (after he had owned it 6 months) it was leaking fuel all over the block, none of the coolant hoses were tight at all, and all of the belts, except the timing belt (thank God), were loose because they had been replaced with improperly sized parts.

I sold a set of wheels to a local guy who had just bought a car from Chris. I mentioned the loose hoses and such to him and he said he had the same problems.

I mentioned it to Chris and he said that no work had been done on the car other than an oil change to synthetic. I changed the oil, and can tell you for damn sure that the oil hadnt been changed in the 6 months of his ownership.

In all honesty, even though I know Chris, I want you all to get back what's owed to you, and by whatever means Chris pays the consequences for his actions. I don't think anyone should be banned, I think, in my opinion, it is counter-productive to ban someone, or certain people that are trying to help you guys out in the end. They are sacrificing their time trying to get shit resolved, not to defend Chris but to get both parties involved to a solution. Threatening to ban the middle-man is why I'm not going to get involved. The only ban I see worthy is the XXX kid.

I think as far as police, Richland County is probably your best bet. I know he's just outside of forest acres, and I'm not sure if he's within City of Columbia police. If RCSD cant help, City of Columbia would be your next bet.

I don't know what to say, I like his wife and kid a lot, but he really has done you guys wrong with what he has advertised. I hope the best for all of you.

My PayPal dispute has been finalized and while they rule in my favor, there are no funds available (Gomer Pyle's famous reprise is ringing in my ears). I call Columbia's finest tomorrow for sure. Those of you lurkers who know this clown, this is bad news. I was kind of hoping he had a shred of integrity and left it to ya'll to talk some sense to him. After knowing all this, how can you possibly do anything but treat him like the plague? How can you conceivably maintain any kind of personal or professional relationship with someone who would so callously steal from those who he thinks can't respond? Don't fool yourselves for an instant, this sociopath will do the same to you the first chance he gets. He is nothing but a petty thief. This is pretty crazy. Might have missed it, but has anyone had any response from the local police? I can't imagine you have to be a local resident for them to look in to it.

I remember when he was buzzing around the forums selling all kinds of stuff, trying to swap cars, etc. Frankly, he seemed a little desperate, so I remember a few warning flags...
