i really hate to ask but instead of dredging through 25 pages, could this be rerouted to the drivers high beam headlight?

yes that how a bunch of people do it. Beware that you will need to clean the filter at least twice as much and you may suck up random garbage that you drive through and clog the opening. this kit produces a very powerful suction and can suck things up. Thats why I run mine behind the grill so large objects dont get sucked up. If you put your hand or a piece of paper in front of the filter and rev it you can feel the suction
