I got the cai saturday, and it looks fantastic. However, I got my airbox apart and I have a square end. I guess I'm going to need an adaptor, anyone have any suggestions?\

Those are great, but... the e30 afm studs use the inner holes on that adapter. Its so close to the round outlet that you usually can even get a nut started on those studs.

What do you guys do about this?

its super easy just have to use nuts that don't have the built on washer, or use ones with a smaller washer. when I had an AFM it installed easily with an open end wrench it just rubbed a little as it turned.

Excuse the noob question, but what does the MAF air sensor adapter do, besides adapt. Is it required to use your Cabon Filter Intake on an M42 motor?
