    Linda's M20b31 Sadness

    Hey R3V-

My well pump failed, which resulted in me finding out my well is only 25ft deep (must be in the water), which resulted in the well pump pull breaking off with the pump lodged in the casing, which resulted in me having to drill a new well, which resulted in me finding out I have to drill 200+ft down to get clean water.

SO I'm selling Linda's uber expensive 3.1L to fund my huge expense. I will not ship, located in 46013.

    M20b31 -

Bottom end built by Kevin at Head Solutions in Lebanon, IN. He is widely regarded in the greater Indianapolis area at being the best in the bizz.

-Late M20 block bored to 86mm w/ torque plate
    -M54b30 crank/rods - stock size mains/rods
-Custom forged JE 4032 (similar to OEM Piston material) pistons, 10.5:1 compression, designed to match 731 chamber
-Block was NOT hot tanked, intermediate shaft bearings were in great shape
    -New OEM bolts
-Disassembled/ultrasonically cleaned/etc Oil Pump and engine bits
-Comes with custom teflon crank scraper from Kevin Johnson

Top end built/ported by Rama RHD and finished off by Kevin at Head Solutions. He didn't like the surface finish, so he inspected the head, cleaned up stuff he didn't like, and made sure it was perfect.

    -Euro 731 Head with +2mm Intake/Exhaust Valves
-Heavily ported by Rama at RHD
    -RHD Springs/Retainers
    -Ireland Engineering HD Rockers
    -Ireland Engineering Billet 284/280 Cam
-Custom 86mm Cometic HG, stock thickness
    -ARP Head Studs
    -Gates Racing Timing Belt
-New INA Belt tensioner, Graf Water Pump

I hoped/estimated this engine will make 225whp-ISH on a Dynojet SAE on the stock intake manifold with a solid tune on Megasquirt. Does not come with headers.

$5500, local pickup only in 46013

Kevin built the head for my S50 and did an amazing job. This motor is definitely built right if he touched it

Yeah, it's a pretty frustrating situation. This engine was my last exciting project as I transition out of the hobby side of things. The only way it won't feel like ass is if a member or friend sees the project through.

Man, I have had engine work done all over the country, and bar none, he is the best I have used. I know of people all over that send their stuff to him- it is such a blessing to be able to stop by and leave 3 hours later, enriched in knowledge.

The local advantage is strong because he's usually too busy to take on more work......until you show up with smile and an engine block in the back of your Subaru

I 10/10 do not think it will sell, sadly (or not sadly)
