Why don't you rebuild yours. This way you know you have a good one. All it takes is a weekend afternoon and $150. Or $400, you can build a 4 clutch diff. I would love to sell you my, but shipping is a hassle.

Because my diff is open, small case, and isn't a 3.73.

I have one out of the car. I replaced it because I wanted a 4.10 LSD. It still locked but would occasionally one wheel when taking sharp right hand turns. I am not sure how loud it is, because it came out of my track/autocross car. I am not sure how many miles are on it since the last rebuild, because it was in the car when I purchased it.
