The hardware for the rockers is pretty cheap to be honest... I can get it all for $77 (bolt, washer, nut and eccentric). Rockers themselves are $20 (that i admit adds up quick lol).

I have a used stock cam as well... $50.

Sounds like a good move. I would rather have resurfaced OEM than new FEBI.

Whats wrong with the Febi rockers? Technically the OEM is Febi... who the OE supplier back in the day was I'm not entirely certain.

Jordan/Stuck talks about the febi rocker here:

Whether or not Febi was the original supplier is still debatable though. It could have been INA...

I had originally ordered a new set of Febi rockers and wound up returning them. Not only did the abundance of casting flash compared to my OE rockers make me question the quality, but the holes for the eccentric bolts were drilled in all different places. The result was that the amount of meat between the hole and edge of the rocker varied dramatically and in some cases was so narrow it made me wonder how it would hold up to the stress.

The OE rocker holes were very consistent and since they had already lasted this long and thenfaces are case hardened right through, it was not a tough decision.

Interesting. I've never had the Febi ones in my hands. We've only ever "upgraded" to the IE HD rockers when cylinder heads were being built. Good to know for any future builds

Febi have been junk for some time now, I have seen some old Febi in high mileage engines and they don't look like the ones you get now (makes me wonder if the old molds were sent overseas). OEM refinished rockers are fine as long as you keep them in adjustment. People tend to let the lash get wide and they bounce - or over rev with old springs. For the price of Febi, might as well go with the HD - OEM are still available but far more pricey.
