Looks like we only have 9 to go. At this rate I'll be collecting deposits by the end of the week.

Here is one of 12 prototype kits for those who could not make it to the carbque

What is the stack height of the camber plates? How does it compare to stock strut mounts, or other popular camber plates (ie, gc, vorshlag, etc...)?

Any specs on the camber plates? Type of bearing used, adjustment range, etc...?

Once all 50 people sign up, how long until we can expect to receive the kits? Are you ordering and shipping regardless of if people pay right away (only reason I ask is because it's r3v, I'm sure a few will flake, and I'm curious if I have to wait for 50 people to actually pay until these are ordered/shipped).

 Thanks!Comment

I'll keep this in mind, still a good kit at a good price. For all things 24v, check out Markert Motorworks!Originally posted by mbonanniI hate modded emtree, I hate modded cawrz, I hate jdm, I hate swag, I hate stanceyolokids, I hate bags (on cars), I hate stuff that is slowz, I hate tires.

I was toying around with different color combos. Originally i was thinking of going with a Bavarian blue to keep everything within the colors of the bmw emblem. But i kind of fell in love with the Navy blue and silver combo. I purchased sample springs from 4 different suppliers and each one sent me a different shade of blue. Its funny cause the way it worked out because the 300lb springs are powder blue, the 475lb springs are electric blue, and the 600lb springs are navy blue.

Don't forget guys custom spring colors are an option. I'll tell you what. Send me 1-2lbs of powder in what ever color you want and i'll powder coat them for you at no extra charge. Just want to build up my powder collection so i can do sample tiles. But i need to know asap so i can order a certain quantity of raw spring.

Your local so you can come and test drive some cars to get an idea of whats best for you.

These are shorter then stock camber plates. These are very basic plates and are similar to the plates you'd find on a k-sport, BC, old DDM, etc. Nothing new here. Standard cheap pillow top bearings. If you want something "good" i recommend Kmacs for quality and comfort. I put 45k blissful miles on my old setup. Only reason i could rationalize a different design was to increase shock travel. I don't have any first hand experience on other manufactures. I see and hear good and bad reviews of everything from my experience at castros and talking to other members. I've witnessed poping and binding from every camber plate that does not use a traditional bearing. Currently there are only a couple of cars with these plates. I want to get some seat time feedback from these customers before i go full scale or make revisions. So far the biggest issue is i need to increase the length of the insert or have a bulit in spacer as part of the top hats. I could make these totally bad ass with enclosed bearings along with aurora spherical bearings and such but then you'd be looking at a 300-400 part that would be as good as vorshlag but with out the huge customer base to sell them. And i don't plan on designing 100 different top plates to fit every application. I do this for shits and giggles and to have money to buy parts off of other forum member. So to sum it up, no these plates are not the greated thing to ever be installed on an e30. But they do what they need to do well enough and the sacrifices you make for not going vorshlag, ground control, kmac etc is probably worth the $170-320. But ultimately its your call. What is the stack height of the camber plates? How does it compare to stock strut mounts, or other popular camber plates (ie, gc, vorshlag, etc...)?

I don't expect to get all the money asap. Kinda why i projected December-January. At the very earliest assuming no supplier delays we are looking at november.Last edited by einstein57; 09-13-2011, 11:37 AM.Your signature picture has been removed since it contained the Photobucket "upgrade your account" image.
