I'm not sure it needs one but I want to get one anyway.
Also we should get a heat sheid made for the p/s axle. That would be huge!

the ix pan sits behind the front subframe anyway so its mostly protected unlike the rwd e30s. You'd have to offroading and come down directly on it with a rock or something to get past the front subframe, the differential and ultimately the oil pan.

Will the m30 version fit with an m20?
Going to be m30b35 swapping, but it only has m20 right now... but I just installed Ground Controls.
Thanks!Leave a comment:

This thing is seriously tough, I hopped a curb at 50ish and my oil pan didn't even get hurt at all. The car is totaled but the oil pan is safe [emoji23]

It really is unfortunate one isn't available for the IX. Where to attach the plate at the back is an issue though, since the subframe sits in the front.Leave a comment:

JUst ordered myself a one for the new toy. Loved this thing when I had my s52 swapped eta. Going to repeat the success on the new one. Thanks for making such an awesome product!!Leave a comment:

Just wanted to show some more love for this plate. As everyone else has said... the build quality is superb. I haven't taken a major hit yet, but I've nicked it several times down back country roads. It doesn't take much to put an E30 out of commission, even from a couple "nicks."
Peace of mind at last... :pimp:
Here are some pics of my install if anyone is curious:
Tacking it in place to line up the "feet":

Fully welded up, painted it to prevent corrosion shortly after the welds cooled:

Final result!
