                I seem to remember there being a debate as to whether or not they were different for pre-88 and post-88 cars or not. I honestly don't know, but as I said before, pending all this info calrified, I am IN.
                Yes they are different. As far as buying from the BMW dealer goes.

                  Just some updates.
                  He got the first copy of the skid plate back from the Mexican and it wasn’t acceptable so he told him to make a new one.

                  Just in case, he found someone else and he is going to make one. I would rather wait and get a good quality plate without paying the dealer prices IMHO

                        I have received two 100% unacceptable units and am looking for someone that can actually do more than slap pieces of metal together. I didn't expect this to go quickly but I also expected quality work. I will keep trying.
