Ordering my set tomorrow, can't wait to get these in.. So glad they work with my IE spec e30 camber plates + Bilstein sports. Thanks for all the info Nigel.
Ordered Tuesday and arrived and installed today (Friday.) Fit and finish is excellent and installation was a breeze. The ride quality is better than my IE3 springs and they go a bit lower. Thanks GE!
is there a reason this kit doesn't come with the rubber o-rings to put inbetween the strut housing and sleeve? I was thinking jb weld also, but what if the threads gets messed up and i need to replace the threaded part, that wont be fun.

There is not enough space between the sleeve and the strut tube to use an o-ring. You can use a strip or two of masking tape running parallel to the length axis of the tube. Spray the inside of the sleeve with pledge or soapy water cause it is often hard to slide it on with out tearing the tape.

Have an e36 m fitment?
I don't have an e36 to do R&D on. I made 1 kit last year and did not receive any feedback and have heard through the grape vine that he replaced his setup with some ASTs.

Yes. But it inhibits the maximum drop and ease of use. Reelizmpro is using a set on his white car uncut. If your worried about max low then using a 4" spring may be a viable option which would include a 400, 450, and 500 # options.

Its in regards to the ovular opening. Its common for twin tube inserts to have that shape instead of the big round design Bilstein uses. It will be changed on the next run.

any chance for a tophat that fits the kyb struts? I messed up my last set trying to modify what looked to be an easy fix
with that said - what's the cost for new top hats (assuming you have components laying around)
