Like I said, I have not installed it. Your best bet is to picture what 30% less of your stock throw would be.

I would say the Z4 throw is about 50% shorter.... so it's half way.

I drove a car with a Z3 1.9, and the bottom gears (2/4) were a tad bit shorter than stock. R/1/3/5 felt stock. Waste of money IMO.

Err, I re-read this thread again and it's still confusing, so sorry for the repeat questions. To clairify, how much shorter will the knob sit than stock?

The knob will only sit a little shorter than stock. He pictured the lever next to a stock lever in his first post, and it appears to be about an inch shorter than stock.

Did you ever find out what bushing was included? I might have missed the post if you had answered that question already.

I got the box with me right now for pics (which I should have returned... whoops). There are no bushings. I figured what they meant by bushing is the rubber piece that slides into the selector rod.

Will these work with stock shift knobs? It doesnt look like there is a locking detent for them.

Yes I did notice that there is no locking mechanism for them, however they do have the gap up top to hold the knob in place (so it doesnt spin around)

About the e28 fitment, I am not sure. If you guys can use stock e30, Z3/4/M, then it should work for you as well.

Yea, it looks like a chromed casting - not CNC.

Its also missing the rubber isolator which keeps buzzing drivetrain noise out of the cabin. There's a reason BMW makes their shift levers that way.

Looks like you get what you pay for on this one.

If you're going to try to shit on the thread like this, can you at least explain why do you think that it's bullshit?
