So to be clear, the white bushing in the picture was, or was not included? If you dont think the noise will be excessive, put me down for one.

The white bushing is included, but nothing else (what you see in the picture is what you get).

And about noise, I'm not a huge expert in sound/vibrations, so I wouldnt know. I have yet to drive one of these but it's just a good deal that I found hard to pass up.

Payment is already available... so you can send in the $ to confirm your buy.

If your e28 has an alluminum shift carrier, it should bolt right in. If it has a sheetmetal shift carrier, it is possable if you modify the bushings a little. I installed a z3 lever into an old '6 series with some modifications to get the bushings right.

Any details about the modifications needed for the sheet metal consol?

Hmm.. I knew that the shifter in this group buy looked familiar.. coincidence?

Not trying to shit on this thread but I think your buddy is taking bulk order for some "JDM YO E30/E36" Ebay SSKs.

You know what? It's probably one of those mass produced shifters.... companies buy a lot of them and call it their own brand.

My only concern is that this shifter does not have the notch where the BMW shifter nob "clips" onto. instead it has a smooth narrow surface.

IMHO you're money would be best spent on a Z3 or Z4 BMW OEM shifter. I have the 2.5 and it's perfect. $60 shipped from BMAParts.com with everything you need to rebuild the shifter linkage.

Has anyone contacted Patrick @ BMA to see if he would do a group buy on the Z3 & Z4 shifters? He gets alot of business from R3v members so I'm sure he would do something for us.

As long as you dont shift like the Fast and the Furious where you put all your rage into your shift, you should be fine. I dont see it as a fatal flaw though.

I started this group buy because a friend of mine works at that store and he mentioned they had a shitload of e30 short shifters. I dont think I ever advertised this shifter as the best thing out there, because that's not the idea I'm trying to show. I wont argue with you that there are better shifters out there... but for $46 shipped, it is a less costly alternative. And that's the sales pitch.
