Talked to Patrick and he quoted me high end price

OK, I bit on this supposed savings of 10 % and great prices. I sent Patrick and email and then followed up with a phone call today. Well I had him quote me on 2 front and 2 rear Bilstien Sport Struts/Shocks and he quoted me 400 + shipping! He said that he would just give me the best price he can and thats what he quoted. HA!

So then I told him I had a better price and he asked how far off he was. I told him 41 dollars and shipping costs.

Then and only then he offered to price match if I sent him the information on the other deal.

Seems like he is unaware that free shipping is something that his website promotes and does not offer it up front.

Moral of ths story- Use the words " price match" and "free shipping" when you speak with this gentleman and that will get you a better sounding deal.

Nice enough guy , but you have to pump him a little to get the deal.

Hey, he offers the best price and will price match. What do you expect??????

That is exactly what he did. Offered his best price and then price matched. WTF is the problem????? Do you expect him to search the internet to find the best price on every product and then offer that on his site????

Chill out man. Free shipping is from when you order off the web site and not the phone. And if you come to them with the best internet price, they have no problem price matching for you. I saved over $100 from them this summer because they would match and or BEAT some prices I found online. When he says best possible price, and you aren't talking about price matching, he is talking about the best price that they normally offer.

Yes, shipping is free for online orders only.

Patrick has hooked me up with sweet-ass package deals numerous times. I give Patrick and BMA   :!:

Just purchased new plug wires and plugs for $50 with the discount (and free shipping!).

No I expect him to offer a competitive price and not some over inflated price just so he can knock off 10 % and then not ship for free unless you say some special words.

He knows exactly what his cost is on the shocks as all retail stores do. Its referred to as wholesale or jobber. From that there is a standard markup that most retailers apply to that price. Instead of the average 10-20 % markup he quoted me well over that. If I had not been price concious and just another web-cow then I would have paid full price.

His prices have been the same before www.r3vlimited.com was even created. He hasnt "inflated" the prices just so he can knock of 10% for r3v members.

I dont see where it says, the cheapest price on the web.

Anyways, I dont feel like defending this supplier. If you had a bad experience, shop somewhere else.

Patrick has hooked me up several times saving me a slew of money every time. He made a mistake during my nightmare when I ordered the radiator and water pump, he didn't send the
water pump so he shipped the 41.00 pump next day free!

It cost me a few days and I had to pay for it to be picked up in Laredo and brought to Monterrey (Mexico) but he did what he could.

It is not his job to find the best price for us it's his job to be professional and supply what he says he will in the timeframe he says he will. With me he has always done his best to do that and I appreciate his help.

So, to get the "Special deal" half the time, you have to call and speak to someone (PITA if you're like me and order parts at 2 am), and once you actually talk to a person, you lose the free shipping?

Eh, no biggie, code works right now, so I'm happy.

I just rebuilt the engine in my sons 325i and BMA helped out on a set of rings that seemed hard to come by around here. Sent them next day air and for a great price. I will deffinatly use them again.

Just ordered the other day - code did not work. Still it was a good price and Patrick did help me via email about a few extra parts I needed.

Waiting for my box of goodies!
