I will definitely post pics when i get tires, but that might be a while... probably gonna be running 225s , we'll see how that goes.

There aren't any decent tires in 225 that "fit" correct if I remember. 225/45 is too tall

225/40?? I know im gonna be rubbing hard if I run 235s since im on stock fenders. I dont really want to alter the fenders since i still have original paint on the car that is in good condition... kind of in a rutt now.

What is your suspension? I'm running 235s, did a little rolling in the front and I'm fine. and 225/40 would have been my size, but if you look.... The selection is sparse to say the least. It's pretty much 215/40 or 235/40 :/

Nitto NT-555 comes in that size, and i think one other tire does. Then there's the Hoosier A6/R6 that comes in that size but that runs as wide as a 245 I think. Nothing wrong with that though besides it being a bitch to fit :D

There's only one 235/40/17 tire on discount tire direct cheaper then that 225 that is ok, anything that's actually a good tire is a little bit more expensive. So if you don't care too much about what you're rolling around on, then the nt-555 works. Although I'd like to hope that every wheel I made would be used on a race car ;)

I already have the first driver school from the BMW club on my calendar... I have a growing list of things to do before then though which is kinda disheartening.

                  Yeah I didn't say it was a non-existant size, just sparse ;)

Can someone running 235's measure the distance between the wheel and tire and the inner fender well, shock and control arm?

                      4x100 BTW

Nitto NT555s are terrible tires. You will have much better performance with a good 215/40.

What are you concerned about? I did this testing with a 235/40/17 NT-01 R-COMPOUND tire even before having the wheel manufactured. The tire clears the inside components (otherwise the wheel would have been produced at a different offset) And the control arm is not an issue at all seeing as the wheel is 17", it could even clear with a 20mm+ strut extender like what Lee V makes.

I am not concerned about anything, I want to know the actual measured distance.

                            Thanks

I am pretty sure you understand that whatever value will come up will only be applicable to one model of tire. Every tire has a different shape. The difference between TOYO'S own RA1 and R888 is huge. So, a 235 can be very different from another 235. Maybe you should specify the tire model you have in mind ;)
Brake harder. Go faster. No shit.
