Shifter Linkage not lining up?

Hey All

In the middle of my m52 swap on my 87 325is. We put the engine and transmission(getrag.260) in. I’m trying to line up the shifter and it looks like the linkage is not lining up. I’m using a z3 shifter, garagastic 10% dssr, condor swap bracket with new bushings. I’m having to force it up an in, looks the center point of the shifter is all the way over on the passenger side. Is this correct? Any help would be appreciated.

I had this issue, and since I can cut & weld, I just welded a new stud off to the side.
