Belt Size??

Hello
I swapped an m50 on an e30. I have the following accessories deleted: Power steering, air conditioning, clutch fan

The mechanic installed a belt which tight but the problem is on full throttle it slips.

So i'm pretty sure either the belt size is wrong or something else.

Can someone tell me the correct belt size for an m50 with those deleted?

What are the numbers on the belt? You can get a few different belts and see if that helps... could also measure it all with a string and find the corresponding belt size that way

+1 for the string because even if someone posts a length for this same combo, people often don't say whether they're running the alternator idler or not and it probably changes the length by 10mm or so.

But why would someone not run an idler?

Seems to be a factory thing, and I have no idea why.

Look at 11/97 build date 328is on realoem and you'll see both configs.

On the other hand, I guess I'm wrong about the belt length - they call for the same length belt in both configurations.
