    Which MAF do I use?

M52B28 from a 96 328, 413 ECU because it was switched to OBD 1, M50 Intake Manifold... with Pink top injectors.

I purchased a MAF that said it would work for a 92-95 328i so that it would connect to the OBD1 MAF Plug (round). Without the MAF plugged in I get a steady good idle and with it plugged in the idle is unsteady and loops.

I did smoke test the system and there are no leaks... I'm just really confused as to how the 413 ecu with a 96 M52B28 and M50 Manifold with pink top injectors... all know how they should work together.

The DME looks like it has the stock M50 chip in it... is that the problem?

I'm confused and would appreciate some help.

    Thank you in advance.

there is no 92-95 328i, and 1992 has different MAF and ecu than 93-95. Looks like you need to have top green injectors from 93-95 325i and the good known MAF from same years. Pink top injectors flow more and will be too rich with stock M50 chip.

Yes... that's the problem. Been studying a bit on MAF scaling and a bit on the programming side for the chips that go into the 413 red label. I still have my megasquirt and 42lb delphi injectors and would have no issues setting up the injectors if I were using the megasquirt... but to do that I would have to setup everything needed to drive the coil packs (MS2E) and I am not too familiar with how to do that. I see some info on scaling and burning my own chips for motronic. I'm a software engineer so I am not scared of doing that it's just hard finding a source that will give me all the info I need.

Does anyone have any idea as to why this topic... M52B28, OBD1, 413 DME, M50 Intake, Pink top Injector... tuning... seems to be so hard to get good info on... do most just switch back to OBD2 since OBD2 is now more easily worked with?
