it could be your ecu? My m20 did the same shit. It ran really bad and was really hesitant. Same symptoms your having almost. I changed out my ecu and it fixed the problem.

How far back is you O2 sensor mounted from the exhaust manifold? Are you using ebay headers?

I'm having similar issues although it doesn't matter if it's hot or cold. Just fyi I would imagine a vac issue would be WORSE at cold and get better as it is hotter as the components expand and leak less. Update?

Mine did it when I had a exhaust leak before my o2, and my maf was bad. Unplug the o2 and see if that stops the hesitation, it will run in open loop and richer but won't hesitate if thats the problem.

I tried unplugging the O2 and ran better, but not perfect, hard to describe, its different. If i was easy on the gas to redline,it would'nt hesitate, but low rpms it still stumbles.I tried another O2 i had and it ran worse....SO i am getting a new one today.....i may have more than one problem...BTW, the CEL never came one when disconnected!!

                  OK....to sum-up what I tried..new O2 sensor,new temp sensor...tried another MAF,TPS,6 coil packs and boots.

No CEL or codes 1444...STILL RUNS LIKE ASSSSSS!!!!

what next???? nothing has changed.. Im no closer than I was when engine was first installed..to best describe..it feels like your running out of gas...,(I keep looking at the fuel gauge)

Do you have good fuel Pressure? Ran better in open loop so sounds like it's lacking fuel so how are the pump.

U need to crank with the coil disconected and check for the appropriate current coming out the sensor. I do not know it but it should be in the repair manual. Someone might help u there. I wish I could be more of service.
