No, but the first time I was on the track, I shifted like that, and my instructor yelled at me. I haven't done it since.
Congrats. You are one tough cookie.Heres my opinion:
to all of you who have gone to driving schools; you still suck at driving. (actually, thats not my opinion, thats just a fact) i would like to run any of you on a track, be it with a stock e30 (or e28 for that matter), or with a fully gutted, caged, and swapped "race" car. i have been up against many "educated drivers" and i drive circles around them. this probly just sounds like some young kid e-thuggin', but i do know what i'm doing behind the wheel. and i don't need any excuses about "not on the street", thats where we all drive everyday, and where we all do the majority of our racing, whether or not any of you want to admit it. so step up or shut up.
to the o.p., it does look like you are forcing the traction loss slightly. i do the same in my stock 88 528e, it will spin first and second on dry pavement.
not trying to be a dick to you o.p., i would love to have a swapped e30, but i am too lazy too do it myself.
just to make the haters even angrier, the car in my sig will out accelerate, out handle, and outbrake 75-80% of the cars on this board. and it's "fwd, lol". plus i have less money in it in mods than most of you payed for your cars.
What kind of lap times do you run on your favorite tracks? Any in the northeast? I'd like to see what you're capable of. Any w2w racing or TT championships?
I actually don't do my "racing" on the street. Maybe the occasional cruise with some friends, but I don't go "street racing". I am on the track almost every weekend, and once you get to that point, driving fast on the street is useless, and actually becomes scarier, once you realize how variables such as road conditions and mechanical failures can cause you to lose control, and take the lives of innocent people. And had you not been dicking off, you would have had a chance to save it. You'll understand when you get there, if you do.
Jgood, once again. This isn't a track nor am I doing a 1/4 mile run. How hard is that to understand? I am not racing against a clock. Should I say it again?
I posted it to give an example of my accelartion when going from 20 - 100mph. Nothing less nothing more. So quit over doing it and nitpicking.
Negating my power to the floor under acceleration would only help to a certain extent. It will not make me from slow to fast as you swear by it. It is a fairly small margin for a 230whp e30 car compared to a 400+ whp e30. If e30 swapped cars didn't have traction issues, why is it that they always go wider tread widths to compensate for the power of the engine? Because stock 195s aren't going to cut it, nor is 205s. Swap a s52 in your four door with 205/40/16 and stiff suspension and tell me you don't have traction issues.
Damn, if you don't have anything nice to say, then shut up. You're just wasting my time.
ZOOOOOM! Right over your head, again.
Go back to my first post. What did I say? I said you don't have traction issues. You're shifting/throttle stabbing style is what is causing the tires to brake loose. That's it. I never made fun of your video, or your car, or anything. I'm saying a good driver could accelerate your car at or near it's maximum potential without wheel spin.
This is the same shit you did in your other thread. You take it as the biggest insult and that I hate you and hate your car. I'm just making the point, that an s52 e30 doesn't have any major traction issues, unless something is wrong with it. Your spouting misinformation, and I'm correcting it/you.Comment

Looks pretty clear to me.
Clear that you A: didn't make it all the way to 100mph, B: took as long to do that as my lowly S50 did to take to get from a standstill to 100mph and C: are on a populated street with oncoming traffic.'89 325is S50 Track Montser

I did cut it just shy of 100. 98 to be exact as I was only shifting at 6.7 rather than 7000 which i normally do.
b) so yours saying you got from 0 - 100 at about 10 secs? Sure buddy whatever floats your boat.

I haven't been to a driving school, but my 235/40s hook up just fine. ;)
I beat Jasper pretty good on launch because I don't suffer from mad tight Euro stretch. :p
He's got a point Jasper.
I guess you've never driven a swap with that aggressive of gearing. The 3.73 is a horrible combo with the ZF. 1st gear creates TOO much torque, and spins the tires at will from any rpm! 2nd isn't much better because it's so short and torquey!
3rd through 5th pull like a fucking freight train though! :-D
While longer gears allow you to take full advantage of the power band, shorter gears make for greater torque in each gear.
Wow you're so cool, can I have your autograph?Heres my opinion:

Your statements are so contradictory it's not even funny. You have the attitude of a 5 yr old. Don't talk so big if you can't back it up.
You've never met most of the guys on this forum, let alone seen their driving abilities. Therefore, your "factual" claims of all of our inabilities to drive are useless.
I think it's cool that you have a turbo tercel, too bad you come off as a total tool. I bet you go around trying to race everything in site to make yourself feel better.
Jasper's video does the car no justice, it's fast!
Also, I highly doubt you'd "smoke" his car unless you go from a dig. Jasper doesn't launch his car very well. :pCheck out Undr8d Empire on Facebook: www.facebook.com/Undr8dEmpireLlc

As you can see in my launch video I'm just shy of twelve seconds, much like you if you could do math...
I'm referring more to the simple fact that those of us who drive on a track are less likely to do stupid stuff on the street because we understand the fundamentals and consequences more clearly. I bet my 235/40s hook up better then your 235/40s but I'm sure yours will last longer...
Yes, yes I do.
If by "you" you mean "me" you need to learn how to read.
Oh boo hoo, not everyone loves my retarded antics! Delete my thread because I can't take all the hate!
Your threads get bogus. What's a common link between them? Oh right, you...'89 325is S50 Track Montser

Common link is the bullshit that you bring up. Same shit you do in my threads is exactly what you do in Ary's. Arrogant, behind the keyboard, I'm right in every manner, sitting on his pedestal guy.As you can see in my launch video I'm just shy of twelve seconds, much like you if you could do math...

I've posted in exactly two of your threads and I've been right both times.
As for Ary's stuff: I've bought his products and not only did they take three months to get, they were unbelievably ill-fitting shit. Over-priced shit. But that's not what were here for, back to Jasper for the evening traffic report!'89 325is S50 Track Montser
