hella! i did my whole engine bay under the car, the e34 oil pan and the m50(prior to removal of e36 pan) turned out great...sad part is a month after the swap my oil filter adapter gasket stared leaking so now the oil pan, rack, steering, trans, under body are all coated in 10w-40 again...tragicLeave a comment:

A pressure washer. But used correctly.
I bought this because I like things clean so it was a must have.

Yup. That's what I used on both my swaps.
I went to the junkyard to grab couple more things. I got the brake booster and new oil pan. Gotta clean them up. Still need to get the transmission brace, and couple of wiring stuff. Looking good so far!

What do you use to clean the block, acceories, and head? How ever or whatever you use works really well. Both of your swaps look very clean. I'm in the process of cleaning my block and accessories now but decided to have the head rebuilt.Leave a comment:

Stripped the motor down to assure everything is on correctly and got to clean the motor and its components as well as the transmission.

koole30 does paint and bodywork for anyone who cares and needs services. He will be painting my car (hopefully for my efforts
) and I'll show case the great quality of his skills.
I started assembling the motor hopefully to have it in by this weekend.

Well got the motor in tonight at around 12:35am. Not as perfect as I'd like but that's what I'm here for.

All I gotta say is that the motor and transmission look pretty damn good since they haven't been cleaned in 12 years.

You would have to ask koole30 about the price. That is his own personal information. It is not my car so I can't say. Sorry. One thing I can say is that the motor has 17k original miles. :D
It depends what model the e34 was. e34 540i's came with the double stack (ix) brake boosters with 25mm master cylinders. And yes, these are the ones you can use for m5X/s5X motor swaps.
