      P15C101 just run a wire from this wire to the 30h nut of the starter. This pin never interfaces with e36 electronics. Its your unloader circuit for power windows sunroof etc etc.
      Finally got time to put this adaptor together! Do you think you could rephrase the above though? not 100% sure what you mean sorry. You said in an earlier post that im doubling up the wiring and i shouldnt do that, but to me the above says that i should run both?

      Going to make the adapter tomorrow after i have determined the following:

      - Find what X20 pin connected to pin7 on the diagnostic port and attach this to P11C101
      - Confirm whether its P15X20 or P18X20 that goes to 30h, and then wait for your rephrasing

      Also, which wire is 30h in terms of the nut size that it uses? Its a bit cramped up in there to see the labels (if any) on the starter.

      Thanks again! Andy

        P19X20 = P7 Diagnostic Connector
        P18X20 = 10mm nut on starter
        P15X20 = 8mm nut on starter

        I think i should to go back to connecting P11C101 to P19X20, and then for the road speed connect P14C101 to P14X20 as i originally had.
        Doesnt seem that my wiring on the starter is doubled up to you does it? Or is the italicized connect incorrectly, seeing as you think that it should not have anything to do with the E36 electronics. There is no resistance between P15X20 and the 8mm connection, so i see no reason not to connect P15X20 to P15C101 instead of running a seperat wire external to the loom
        I also belive i do not have the Oil level sensor in my car. Assuming i am looking in the right place which is on the bottom of the sump and its a triangle-ish shapped fitting, i have a blanking plug instead.

        This all means that i am using my original adaptor any that i got you to check over, except for the M20 Brown top temperature sensor which i knew about. My wiring must be good assuming my thinking above with the starter motor is correct :D

          what do you mean pin 18 to 10mm nut of starter. sure it does go there but you're making the adapter, wire it there. go pin 18 to pin 18 and forget about where that connection leads.

          pin 15 ok.
          No more e30s for me.

              I wired my m52 swap by your instructions but i hit a dead end, I cant get the EWS to work here is how I wired it

              Main EWS II 61.35-4 4 146 047

              1 BLK/Yellow to starter
              2 White/purple to it's brother on the connector
              3 blk/green to the ignition key
              4 green to DME
              5 red/ yellow to continus 12V
              6 none
              7 brown to ground
              12 black to pin 20 on the connector also black
              13 light blue to transmiter
              I am left with 8 black/green - ?
              14 blue/red/yellow - ???
              12 Black - ??? speed input I think

              EWS transmiter

              1 to 13 on the main EWS
              2 to +12V acc on
              3 to ground

                I was giVen the option of a tuned ecu for my swap but had to convert to obd1 to make it work so I never finished the car in obd2 sorry. In theory it should work though, I spent many many hours pouring over etms and such to getthat, and crossed checked it with a known working obd2 swap and it was te same. Can only offer you best of luck

                  Spyder, you only need:

                  2 --
                  3 --
                  4 green to DME (through X20 pin7)
                  5 red/ yellow to continus 12V (hot at all times)
                  6 --
                  7 brown to ground
                  12 --
                  13 light blue to transmiter Pin 1
                  12 -- ... OR, Black - C101 pin 9...

                    yeah mate 10x a lot your wireing works just fine the key chip was busted as soon as I replaced it, the car started perfectly, i wired it by your diagram, just need to confirm that all the gauges work so far all is OK - oil alternator, RPM, need to mood the tempgauge (decided to swap the inter gauge with a e36 one) and the speedometer and tachomeetre will be confirmed as soon as i take the car for a spin still need to mout a radiator, and throttle cable.
